Title: A decade of disc-integrated solar observation at the m/s precision

Abstract: Ten years ago, we started HARPS-N observation of the Sun with the goal of providing, every possible day, several hours of high-resolution (R=100'000) and high-S/N solar observations to understand further stellar signals hampering the detection of exoplanets and develop techniques to mitigate them down to the 10 cm/s precision required to detect another Earth. Ten years later, this project provided nearly uninterrupted observations from the decreasing phase of solar cycle 23 to the maximum phase of Cycle 24, giving us an invaluable dataset to study stellar signals at different phases of the magnetic cycle. Something unexpected at the time was that such a setup could also be very valuable to understand instrumental systematics as calibration can never mimic perfectly what is really observed on stars.
